OWNER / HEAD ENGINEER / GRAPHIC DESIGNER
Howdy. I’m a producer/audio engineer, musician, and graphic designer from Sugar Land, Texas. I studied Contemporary Writing & Production at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA and graduated from The Recording Conservatory of Austin with a Certificate in Recording Arts.
I’ve been a detail-oriented and meticulous person since I was a child and was always fascinated in the work that went on behind the scenes. As time progressed I began to lose interest in the music I was listening to, and decided I wanted to learn how to make my own.
I began amateurishly producing my own original music in 2011 to train this new skill, and eventually ended up focusing a lot of that energy into networking with other local artists to work for them, learning new things as I went.
Along the way I began toying with the visual arts to further assist my artists/clients in legitimizing their content for consumption. I’m now comfortably operating as a go-to freelance graphic designer for the local community and scene, creating flyers, album covers, promotional content, website assets, and much more.
Since then, I’ve gained a hefty amount of audio production, songwriting, graphic design, and indie advertising experience, and have gotten to be part of a handful of big and exciting projects. Come make yours one of them!
Niko says he excels most with audio post-production/editing, brand identity through graphic design, composition/songwriting/film scoring, and website design. Things he hopes to get better at include video production, animation, sound design, and advanced recording techniques.
EVENT COORDINATOR / BOOKING MANAGER
For as long as she can remember, music has been a huge part of Ashley’s life. She’s always loved playing and writing music, but knew by a very young age she wanted to be a part of the business side of things. After having worked as promotional manager for artists in Scottsdale, Arizona, she quickly found a niche love for marketing and management, and has been pursuing that passion for over a decade.
A few years later she packed her bags and began professionally booking shows for a circle of artists here in the greater Houston area, becoming manager for local indie trio Islands of Pear, and going on to start her own project, Chancla Fight Club. Since first dipping her toes the music industry, she’s made huge leaps with artists she’s worked with and has grown to be a very knowledgeable and dedicated asset to any project she’s a part of.
With a special place in her heart for dreamers, she looks forward to becoming a part of your artistic journey here at Nitpick and beyond.
